Walk east on Franklin toward Espanola on a Friday evening in July and you will hear the neighborhood before you see it. A blues band setting up on the lawn outside the clubhouse. The clink of glasses on the lower patio. Someone rolling a beach chair down the sidewalk. The tenth or eleventh dog of the hour trotting north along Shooks Run. This is the month Patty Jewett stops feeling like a residential grid north of Uintah and starts operating as one long, connected front yard.

Most guides to the neighborhood lead with the tree canopy and the 1900s bungalows. Those are true and they are also the version every other site has published.
